Get connected
The service does not start
Section titled “The service does not start”On Debian/Ubuntu, check /etc/darpan/darpan.env. The gateway waits for a public origin and the connector waits for pairing. Check logs without publishing credentials:
systemctl status darpan darpan-launcher darpan-connectjournalctl -u darpan -u darpan-connect --since '10 minutes ago'The page opens but the desktop does not
Section titled “The page opens but the desktop does not”Check the local account exists, has a real login shell, and is in the host allowlist. Cloud sign-in also respects PAM account policy: an expired or access-denied Linux account must be fixed on the host.
No video from an outside network
Section titled “No video from an outside network”Signalling and video use different paths. A working page does not prove WebRTC can reach the host. The private pilot uses direct/STUN connectivity; TURN and paid relay services are disabled. Try another network and contact your pilot operator if a direct connection cannot be established.
Sound or input is missing
Section titled “Sound or input is missing”Click inside the desktop to permit audio and input. Check the host’s audio, clipboard and view-only policy. Browser-reserved shortcuts can stay with the browser unless it supports keyboard lock in full screen.
Before asking for help
Section titled “Before asking for help”Record the host version, browser/OS, encoder, whether the connection is local or remote, and reproducible steps. Remove email addresses, host tokens, browser cookies and cloud credentials from logs.
